Overview:This annual event is the largest and most expensive marketing initiative that Deloitte's Investment Management practice makes each year. The previous year saw quite a few attendees leave prematurely. So for the 2017 symposium, we practice needed an enticing look and feel to attract both new and returning attendees. We combined new eye catching visuals with a thought-provoking theme to elevate the aesthetic of the event and complement the upgraded agenda.
Inspired by the tessellations of M.C. Escher, we created a custom-illustrated primary visual that encouraged attendees to "look deeper" for new business opportunities in a changing marketplace. The imagery featured a bear transforming into a bull (two iconic images of the stock market) to illustrate the and ever-changing landscape of Wall Street and the ever-present, though sometimes hidden opportunities for success. We extended the "look deeper" theme and tessellated imagery into a video which kicked off the event.
Our approached proved very successful in attracting attendees. Registration for the event was up 66% from the previous year, with actual attendance increasing 14% increase.
My role: I was the lead art director on this campaign. I help to conceptualize the look and feel, and illustrated the primary visual. I also storyboarded and animated sections of the opening video. Throughout the life cycle of this campaign I collaborated with multiple creatives to bring the assets to life.
