Overview: A high-profile annual report from Deloitte, the 11th edition of Tech Trends explores the intersection of emerging technologies, human experiences, and business strategy in the modern enterprise. Traditionally only an overview video is produced for this report, but for this edition we designed and developed a short video for each of the seven trends.
In addition to the report imagery, we wanted something that unified the videos as a series. We related each chapter to a metaphor (ie: chapter 1: symbiosis between macro trends and forces / metaphor: symbiosis between a butterfly and flower) to help drive interest and allow viewers to see the content in a new light.
The final videos consisted of 2D and 3D animation that were released bi-monthly to sustain engagement throughout the year. Each video averaged approximately 50k views with a 71% completion rate and were frequently the most-viewed videos on Deloitte.com⎯helping to keep Tech Trends at the forefront of industry visibility for much of 2020.
My role: I was the lead art director on this project, creating the look and feel for the video series, as well as either producing or directing the storyboards for all the videos. I collaborated closely with the copy and motion graphic teams throughout the entire process to bring this project to life.
