Overview: Past is prologue. 2020 marked 175 years of Deloitte making an impact. Since 1845 the firm has been a human catalyst at the intersection of business and technology, serving clients through three industrial revolutions and ready to lead through the fourth.
In preparation for the year-long celebration of Deloitte’s 175 anniversary, we were asked to develop an imagery style that was fresh and modern, but also a bit nostalgic. We wanted to remind the world that Deloitte has been around for many of the world's biggest milestones — when the railroads were being built...we were there; global communication lines being established...there; personal transportation easing mobility...you get the picture. We also wanted the imagery to reflect our staying power for the future. In the face of rapid innovation — robotics, AI, emerging tech, etc. Deloitte will be there as it has always been.
The final visual identity consisted of imagery that featured old and new elements, juxtaposing the progress humankind has made over the years with the historical context of where it all began. We chose a color palette of chrome with green accents to cement Deloitte as an ever present entity.
My role: As the lead art director on this project, I managed all the visual design elements. I created imagery and oversaw the work of other art directors to ensure all the elements came together as a complete set. I collaborated with multiple creatives to bring this project to life.
